About Us

                                   Club History

The Tri County amateur radio club was founded in 1977 by a half dozen hams in the Delphos area. It's membership received a real baptism under fire providing round-the-clock communications for more than four days when a major killer blizzard struck our portion of western Ohio in January of 1978. Club History.

Our repeater, now call signed in honor of one of our original founders and our first club president Eugene Kundert W8YEK, now a silent key, took the air from temporary quarters in 1976.

Now located at the transmitter building of WDOH Radio, at the southwest edge of Delphos, this repeater on 147.120, utilizes an antenna located on the radio stations' tower at 230 feet, providing excellent coverage to a large portion of western Ohio.
